HOW IT WORKS

What this tool does to your audio

1 · Silence trimLeading and trailing silence is measured and cut. Pauses inside the episode are left untouched.
2 · Rumble filterOptional 80 Hz high-pass removes desk thumps and handling noise before anything is measured.
3 · LoudnessTwo-pass EBU R128 loudnorm: the file is measured first, then normalised with those measurements — not guessed in one pass.
4 · FadesFade in and out are applied last, so normalisation cannot undo them.

The true-peak ceiling is never exceeded. If a very quiet or heavily peaked recording cannot reach the loudness target without breaching that ceiling, the tool stops at the ceiling and tells you — rather than distorting the audio.
