The OCR engine is a WebAssembly build of Tesseract that we host ourselves. Your image is read on your own device and never uploaded, so there is no server copy and no account.

HOW IT WORKS

Get text out of a picture in three steps

  1. Choose the image. Drop a JPG, PNG or WebP onto the box above. A phone photo of a page works, and so does a screenshot.
  2. Pick the languages. English is ticked by default; add Turkish for a Turkish document, or tick both for a mixed one. The language data downloads the first time you use it and is then cached.
  3. Edit and take the text. The result appears in an editable box, so you can fix anything the engine misread before copying it or saving it as a TXT file.
