MP3 or M4A?
- MP3 plays on absolutely everything. Pick 192 kbps for a good balance, or 320 kbps when quality matters most. The audio is re-encoded, so choose a higher bitrate for music.
- M4A gives you the best quality. If the video's audio is already AAC — which is the case for most MP4 and MOV files — we copy it out untouched, so there's no quality loss and it finishes in seconds.
- If the video has no sound at all, you'll get a clear message instead of an empty file.
